Chatham Lobsters is a sustainable lobster fishery and is proud to be part of ensuring that there will be Cape Cod lobsters for future generations. All of our lobsters come from the cold, clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean, up to three miles offshore, between Chatham and Truro.
We treat our lobsters with great care from the moment we set the traps in the water until the time we hand them over to you. Our lobster traps have escape vents that allow the smaller lobsters to crawl back out and keep growing, and we release – unharmed – any female lobsters with eggs.
On the way home from hauling, the lobsters are kept in cool running water, the same water that they were pulled from. You can’t get any fresher than that, and the taste of our lobsters is without equal.
When you’re buying lobsters, or any kind of fish or shellfish, be sure to ask the seller where your seafood came from and if it was harvested sustainably.
